The dream of making a comic has always been there. As long as I can remember, everything I have ever done has evolved around drawing and creating universes, characters and story. My entire childhood where I went to comic class every Wednesday, I dreamt of doing a giant comic project. Which is expressed in my choice of education and career!

I’m educated as a classic 2d character animator from “The Animation Workshop” in Denmark back in 2000 and I have been drawing professionally in the animation industry for 25 years on video games, film, television and comics. 

I have also taught workshops with kids in animation & comics at “The Animation Workshop” og “Herlev art school” for 8 years. In the animation industry I have worked as Art Director, Illustrator, Background design, Layouter, Colorist, Shadow Designer, Locations Designer, Prop Designer, Clean Up Artist, Lead Animator, Concept Artist, Color Scripter, but I have specialized as Storyboard Artist, Story Artist & Character Designer. 

I would like to harness all these skills & experience down in one big epic comic saga.

So the last couple of years I have taken various courses in screenwriting, to write this piece.

PLANET PROWL

Planet Prowl is my ongoing personal project that was born from a lifelong fascination with sci-fi & comics. It is where I challenge myself to grow as a character & concept designer and storyteller.

Growing up in Denmark in the 80s meant having the benefits of both American & European pop culture.

So I draw in a classic commercial style, which is a mixture of Disney and the classic American superhero comics, and the classic European (Belgium) toony style and humor.

As an educated character animator, facial expressions and acting are always highly prioritized.

 

So my goal with this comic is to have a mix of good and solid cartoony drawing style, told in the classic “American superhero comic” layout and telling style in an action-packed comic. Which is rarely seen in the market.

To have a strong independent and capable main character, that can be a role model for younger women and hopefully change the thoughts of “females as the weaker gender” in the mind of men, in a fun, exciting and action-packed way.
